STRAW BERRIES
Choose plump, shiny,
brightly colored berries
with green caps. Wait
to wash them until
ready to use. Reserve
perfect ones to crown
the cakes.
ORAN GE PEEL
Com plem ent sweet
berries with zest.
Sprinkle finely grated
peel on mounds of
whipped cream, or
fold 1 teaspoon peel
into 1 cup sweetened
whipped cream.
CAN DIED GINGER
Introduce a bit of
confection and zippy
taste with chopped
candied ginger.
BISCUITS
To your favorite sweet
biscuit batter, add
chopped toasted
pecans or almonds.
Slice biscuits and layer
berries, sauce, cream,
and toppings between
and over the top.
FRUIT JAM
For thick, fruity sauce
that stays on biscuits,
melt V4 cup spreadable
strawberry jam , cool,
then stir in 3 cups
sliced fresh berries.
